The client specialises in hydrofluoric acid dilution and blending and processes sulphuric, nitric and hydrochloric acids.
HFL has been requested to provide:
• Development of a new SIF – Low differential pressure trip PT405 / 409 SIL 1.
• An unclassified trip off the bund level switch LS-604 to isolate the tank TK601 filling line on a high level in the bund.
• Review the use of AV-601 as the safety shut-off valve for the high-level trip in TK-601.
HFL’s process safety team has experts involved in the chairing of, and participation in, HAZOP and LOPA studies.
