Requirement
HFL was requested to provide a FEED study and + 30% cost breakdown for a used tyre pyrolysis project to be based local to Carlisle airport.
The project will create a significant number of skilled jobs both during its construction phase and on an ongoing operational basis.
Our Response
A site team was assembled to visit the proposed location for the new facility.
The team then visited the manufacturer of the pyrolysis equipment in Germany to review the equipment and discuss the technical details. This enabled the HFL engineers to integrate the proprietary equipment into their designs.
The HFL team also supported Canigou in the application for planning permission.
The FEED was completed on-time and on-budget.
Result
Canigou was able to utilise the FEED andcostings prepared by Haden Freeman to:
· Obtain further investment from interestedparties for the design and build stages.
· Apply to the Cumbrian planning authority forthe plant build.
